Goga: A journey of love, is a film about a grand old lady with a maddening gusto for life. The film is based on the life of Goga, Gursimran Kaur, who migrated to Canada in 1973, seen through the eyes of the filmmaker, her grandniece. Goga who was one of the first Indian women to get divorced, always fought for her rights and was much ahead of her times. The film travels over a period of eight years, when Goga last visited her family in India in 2008, to her passing away in 2015,when the filmmaker goes to Canada to fulfil her last wish and collect her belongings. Though she lived most of her life alone but she always believed in love. At the age of 60, she met her soul mate Lee and wished to be buried in the same grave as him.
