Kalka
Kalka is young, hot headed and rebellious coal miner, before the nationalisation of coal mines. He is disgusted with the ways not only of the management but also the workers union. Madho, Shiboo and Shakoor lose their lives in mining accident and this is followed by a major accident involving the lives of 85 works. By putting up a sustained fight with management Kalka organises all the labour and trains hudereds of devoted workers ready to die for the cause. Kalka is now happy as the management cannot afford to ignore the workers demands anymore.
