Riding Over the Moon: An Artist Unbridled
Elizabeth grew up in Southwestern Colorado under pioneer conditions, with no running water, electricity, or motor vehicles. She put herself through the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago by teaching horsemanship, taught Eskimo and Indian children in Alaska before Alaska had roads, and worked in China with the American Red Cross during WWII. Later she married and raised five children, which hindered her artistic productivity, but after thirteen years she picked up her brushes and was still painting at age 95. The filmmakers hope that her story will convey to others that art is not only important in our lives, but is essential to our development as individuals. We hope that everyone will be inspired to see a little more beauty in the world.
