This is a first person narrative about the Caribbean American experience. Melissa Strong is of Trinidadian/Guyanese heritage. She will tell the story of the Caribbean migration to America and fast forward it to present times with interviews from first and second generation Caribbean-Americans discussing their struggles, successes and the culture clash with African-Americans. It will also include an interview with an historical sociologist about the West Indian American identity crisis in the US, facts on the Caribbean American's impact/influence on the U.S, and the reaction from African Americans about their Caribbean counterparts.
